OPTION #1
To gain the ridge that the old fire lookout stands on, walk back to the junction where you turned left to the lake, and turn left up the trail for about .5 miles.
WHEN YOU ACCESS THE RIDGE, MARK THIS POINT CAREFULLY. IT WILL BE YOUR RETURN ROUTE.
If you turn left, the tower is a little over .2 miles. You can explore this INCREDIBLE ridge SSE for as long as you like.
Return to your trail marker and head back to the lake.
