DESCRIPTION:
Sayulita is a small fishing/surfing village just north of Puerto Vallarta. There is a fair number of expats living on Gringo Hill and along the coast so English is pretty well understood by most residents.
ATTRACTIONS
Surfing, Fishing, Trail Running, Hiking, Mountain/Fat Tire Biking, Birding
- Cemetery on the beach just south of Villa Amor
- Massage on the beach. The further north you go up the beach the cheaper the prices get
- Manuel hangs out at the bridge and his nephew Oscar will take you Horseback riding on the beach
- Craft Brewery to the west of the baseball field
- Beer Pub across the creek from the sewer plant and discharge pipe has the best beer in town (Note: the semi-treated sewage discharges into the creek a hundred feet before it dumps onto the beach and into the ocean. I would not walk through it)
DIRECTIONS:
From the PV airport take the pedestrian overpass east across the highway to the city bus stop and catch the city buss to Sayulita. It is entertaining to ride with the locals.

COOL THINGS CLOSE BY:
Take the water taxi from PV to Jelapa for a short hike to a water fall with a full bar, trail run through the jungle to San Poncho, take the bus north to Chacala
R & P:
- Eric's Bar Mirimar - He releases the turtles with you
- Odette's "Chiles" and Margarita is pretty darn cool. She has an outdoor court yard and musicians regularly play there.
- Sayulita Public House - Best beer in town that I could find
- Villa Amor for a romantic lunch. You sit outdoors across the road from the establishment on the rock head wall over looking the bay and across the Pacific.
