DESCRIPTION:
The start of the trail soon joins an old roadbed for 100 yards before it leaves the road and climbs steadily, before dropping into Noisy Creek where it crosses the creek. From here it follows Noisy Creek for 1.5 miles where it switchbacks to the north, where it meets up with trail #s 533 & 540. At the junction with 533, 540 and 588, turn left (west) onto trail 540 to the summit. This trail is up, so plan ahead.
