SOUP FOR LUNCH IN THE MOUNTAINS
This recipe is very simple.
Choose a soup from the recipes in the soup section.
DO NOT CARRY GLASS CONTAINERS INTO THE MOUNTAINS.
Instead, put them in leak proof containers, and place them in plastic bags for transportation. Have each recipient carry their own soup.
One recipient should carry a backpacking stove, while another can share the load by carrying the pot to het the soup in.
Also, carry the lid to the stove, bowls and spoons.
After lunch, do not try to wash the bowls past easy whipping. Put them into a plastic bag, and clean them when you get home.
FRIED BREAD:
At home before the hike, mix the following with a fork, and store in leak proof container.
Warmed butter or oleo
Garlic powder
Basil leaves washed and de-stemmed
Parmesans grated cheese.
Have each recipient bring their favorite bread.
Butter the bread on one side and place in pot lid over the stove. Check occasionally to make sure the bread isn't burned.
