DESCRIPTION:
Breezy Hills from the air, looks like a shallow sea shore, that has an unusual pattern. The Great Glacier Lake Missoula Floods shaped all the lands in the Washington Scablands. This area is gentle rolling steppes.
From the trailhead, hike S.E. for about 1.1 miles to the radio tower and back.
The premier season is spring, especially April and May. The steppe is loaded with wildflowers, sounds of birds, and solitude.
And if that doesn’t get you out there, this Nature Conservancy Preserve has a very special 6 to 8 inch Hedgehog Cacti. The cacti is worth the drive in its self.
