DESCRIPTION:
From the footbridge between the upper and lower lakes, turn left (east) and follow the trail thru a total of ten gates. Please be sure to close all gates after you walk thru them. Pay attention to stay on the main trail, as there are several connecting trails. If you decide to use another trail, please carry the BLM brochure to find your way. In the far NE corner of the area is Wall Lake, that can be accessed from the Rock Ranch trail.
DIRECTIONS:
From Davenport on Highway 2, turn left (south) on SR 28 for nearly 13 miles to Harrington, and turn right (west) onto Coffeepot Road. Drive 13.5 miles and turn right (north) onto Highline Road. In 1.3 miles turn right (east) onto the BLM Twin Lakes Road for 2 miles past the campgrounds and the boat launch.
HAZARDS:
Lack of landmarks to triangulate by, off trail hiking on rough terrain, wind and sun.
