Juniper Dunes is a peaceful 7140 acre paradise in the sand. Although there are no trails in the Wilderness, wandering the dunes and admiring the environment will astound you. Use extra caution when setting out. Look for features and triangulate far off mountains, etc.
Contact the BLM office in Spokane for details on road access, as they change as often as the sands, it seems. BLM will be able to tell you when the wildflowers are in bloom.
If you are able to wander, wander the area with care. There are few landmarks to go by, so you may want to take your compass and map to be sure.
There is a dense stand of Juniper along the north boundary near a 100+ foot dune.
