On your way past Palouse Falls, drop off a car or two, because this is a one way hike.
Continue south on Hwy 261 past Palouse Falls to Lyons Ferry S.P., and look for the parking area on the left.
From the parking area, hike NE along the high bluffs overlooking the Palouse River.
You must pay attention to the faint trail that follows the Palouse River all the way to Palouse Falls.
Enjoy your lunch about mid way, with great views of the Palouse River.
Remember, as long as you can see the river or it’s gorge, you are on the “trail”.
Once at Palouse Falls, send the drivers of the cars at Lyons Ferry, down for the cars.

DIRECTIONS:
From Spokane, head west on I-90 past Tokio to Hwy 261, and turn left down 261, past Palouse Falls to the Snake River, and Lyons Ferry State Park.
