INLAND NEW HIKERS
Inland NW Hikers is a group of hiking enthusiasts who love exploring our local area and sharing our experiences with others. There are hundreds of miles of trails within a few miles of Spokane, but our Organizers also lead day hikes within a few hundred-mile radii. We hit the trail year round, so that will include mainly hiking and snowshoeing, but can also include kayaking, bicycling and other human-powered outdoor recreation. Organizers also post educational events. The hikes, which is our primary focus, range from "easy" to "strenuous." On an event you are interested in, click the "see all" link, scroll to the bottom, and you will find our rating system. The number is the "miles," and the letter is the "elevation." Please make sure to always read the event description. The rating system only gives you miles and elevation. It is also important to take time to read what the Organizer has to say about the trail conditions, along with other important information.
Our goal is to foster an atmosphere where people have an opportunity to enjoy getting out in a relaxed and social environment. Several of our Organizers have leadership positions in other area non-profits devoted to preserving and protecting wild places in the Inland Northwest, both land and water.
Inland NW Hikers regularly visits nearby areas such as Mt. Spokane, Riverside State Park, Antoine Peak, Beacon Hill, Dishman Hills, South Hill Bluffs, Glenrose, Rocks of Sharon, the Little Spokane, Mica Peak, as well as Liberty Lake County Regional Park to name just a few! We also regularly hike to Central Washington, Northern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. In the past nine years, Inland NW Hikers has lead over 1,000 hikes to these and other places and is committed to continuing to share the beauty of the Inland Northwest with like-minded folks.
We welcome hikers of all ages and abilities (but you must be 18 to join). Dogs are welcome on most hikes, but this is at each Organizers discretion.
